World Wide Bridge Contest

WBF Year points are awarded for this event based on this table, it was considered that the event was better suited to award WBF Year points so that more players could be rewarded.

Please note: For Zone 2:

When the Open has selected its two teams with two trials instead of one as they did for the 2007 Bermuda Bowl USA representation. (some cycles it is not possible to have two separate trials for the BB and then the Open does as the Women always do). So, we do not have a 1st and 2nd per se but treat the two winners – the 2006 winner and the 2007 winner as 'equal' and therefore request that the WBF Points and PPs be split equally between them (split the total award for both 1st and 2nd place equally which yields: MPs 150+100 = 250/2 = 125 and PPs 1+.5 = 1.5/2 = .75). The winner of the Canada-Mexico match is designated as 3rd in the zone. The two second place teams are designated as tied for 4/5 and you will note there is the same procedure for adding mps for 4th and 5th and dividing by two.
