'WBF' is the World Bridge Federation. |
3. |
The 'WBF On-Line Bridge Scale' is the scale used to assign
WBF On-Line Bridge Points for a tournament. It is as follows: |
|

The last place to be awarded points must be no less than
50% of the total entrants (i.e. to award points to the 7th
placed pair or team there must be at least 14 pairs or teams).
The Rounding on these allocations will be in accordance with
the current WBF rounding system which is as follows: |

'Year' is defined as a WBF Master Point year which runs from
the beginning of the last 'conventional' World Bridge Championship
to the beginning of the next 'conventional' World Bridge Championship. |

There is to be no conversion between
WOBP and WBF Master Points or WBF Year Points as it is felt
that the two types of bridge are very different and therefore
there can be no sensible conversion rate. |
3. |

will be awarded the official WBF title of "WBF Online Tournament
Player (WOTP)" whilst the player retains sufficient WOBPs (see

International Master (WOBM)" for life. |
6. |
WOBPs accumulated will depreciate
at the rate of 40% per year in the following years. |
7. |
If a player's total number of WOBPs
becomes less than 3, it will be considered to equal zero. |
8. |
It is the Organiser's duty to inform
the WBF Masterpoints secretary of any events to be held and
the proposed table of point allocations. |
