The Opening Ceremony will take place at 7 pm on Monday 3 July, after dinner and before the first tournament. The Camp will be closed with the traditional festivities on the night of Monday 10 July. Participants are expected to leave on Tuesday 11 July, after breakfast. The daily program includes lectures (for weaker and stronger players) on various bridge subjects to be given by acknowledged teachers. Certain hours will be devoted to physical sports. In the numerous bridge tournaments, the mixing-up of nationalities will be systematically encouraged. There will be at least one organized outing to places of interest nearby. Naturally, participants will have plenty of free time to spend as they wish within the framework of the Camp.
Established in 1989, the WBF Youth Awards aim at rewarding aptitude, diligence and international spirit shown by participants at the World Junior Camps. The winners do not receive any material prize, but earn the honour of enabling their countries to have a free place in the next Junior Camp. Nominations are made by the participants themselves, and the selection of the WBF Award winners is decided among them by the Youth Committee. The result is announced at the Camp's closing ceremony. As the result of their nationals winning the 2004 WBF Youth Awards at the previous Camp, Romania, Sweden, Thailand and USA are entitled to one free place in the 2006 Junior Camp.
Participants are subject to the WBF Camp Rules & Regulations, available here. When applying to participate, Juniors must acknowledge that they have read the WBF Camp Rules & Regulations and accept to abide by them.
