Bridge at Home in the Olympic Museum

After three days of competition, the five qualifying matches mirroring the five Olympic rings, it was France and China who are missing from today's semi-finals, which see the USA facing Indonesia and Italy meeting Poland.
Today also sees the start of the Women's match betweeen North America and Europe, with the former looking to avenge their defeat of last year.

The dramatic improvement in the weather yesterday coincided with the 75th anniversary of the birth of Duplicate Contract Bridge created by Harold Vanderbilt on the 1st November 1925, and allowed the contestants to capture the full flavour of the Olympic Musuem. As you can see below, our photographer, Ron Tacchi was also out and about in the Olympic Park.
