The 2nd SportAccord World Mind Sports Games will take place at the Beijing International Convention Center (BICC), in Beijing, China, 12-19 December 2012.

 • Format

In the bridge section, there will be team, pairs and individual competitions.

Four teams will compete in each of the two series, men and women:

Men China, The Netherlands, Sweden, USA
Women China, France, Great Britain, USA

In each series, a double round robin will be played first; the two top teams will proceed to the final, while the other two will take part in the playoff for third place.

The pairs will be played over 4 sessions of 22 boards, with each of the 12 contestants meeting all the rest in each series, men and women.

Finally, the individual will be contested over 23 rounds, during which each of the 24 competitors in each series, men and women, will partner each of the rest.
