Featuring the world's top athletes in the respective fields, the second edition of the SportAccord World Mind Games will take place in the Beijing International Convention Center, in Beijing, China, 12-19 December 2012 - the same place where the inaugural SportAccord World Mind Games were held last year. Five mind sports participated in the SportAccord World Mind Games: Bridge, Chess, Draughts, Go and Xiang Qi (Chinese chess). Some 150 top athletes are expected to compete in the event which is supported by IMSA and will be accompanied by a cultural program. Winners, medallists and players received attractive prize money according to their results. IMSA is the International Mind Sports Association. SportAccord is the umbrella organisation for all (Olympic and non-Olympic) international sports federations as well as organisers of multi-sports games and sport-related international associations. SportAccord 2012 World Mind Games online tournament The SportAccord World Mind Games online tournament started in September and will go on till the end of October. One winner will be selected for each sport and will be invited for a one week journey to attend and watch the 2012 SportAccord World Mind Games in Beijing (travel and accommodation included). He will also have the chance to play against some of the world’s best worldwide players of his sport. Online winners will also receive a commemorative medal and a certificate at the closing ceremony of the event. For bridge, players are welcome to play on the participating platforms:
