Denmark topped the
standings at the end of the round robin, followed by USA2
and Italy. Poland’s
maximum win in the final round gave them the last spot in
the knock-outs, with France, who were unable
to achieve the 19-11 win they needed against Italy on vugraph
being the unlucky fifth-placed team.
As winners, Denmark had
the right to choose who they would face in the semi-final
and opted for Poland, against whom they will
start with a 16 IMP carry-over. That leaves USA2
to face Italy, with the Americans starting
with a 4.5 IMP advantage from their round robin encounter.
