WBF Youth Cmte Chairman's Opening Speech

I am very pleased to welcome all of you players and officials from fifteen countries, representing the world, in this ninth edition of our top event, the World Youth Teams Championship. This prestigious event returns to Europe after ten years’ absence and it does so in great style. Our venue is the headquarters of the French Bridge federation, in one of the most celebrated cities in the world, Paris.

I am sure that you will use the opportunity of sampling the cultural and cosmopolitan atmosphere of Paris, without neglecting, of course, the main reason for your visit, which is to play top bridge in a wonderful atmosphere and exhibiting great sportsmanship.
