There is a special atmosphere surrounding this IOC Grand Prix here in Lausanne. The Olympic spirit has clearly infected the players who are all smiles, even in adversity. Just as in an Olympic village they eat together, their rivalry at the table temporarily suspended as they enjoy the unique setting of the Olympic Musuem.

It is noticable that visitors to the Museum have wandered into the auditoreum where the VuGraph is being staged and have frequently stayed for a while to follow the action.

Despite losing to France in the third round by 20-10 VP China stayed at the top of the table. The USA are second following their 17-13VP defeat of Italy who are currently the backmarkers. Poland took the wind out of Brazil's sails with a 20-10VP win although the latter are third, just ahead of France.
