Only five matches remain in the qualifying rounds for the Open and Women’s series, and only four in the Seniors. With only four in each group of the Open getting through to the round of 16, time may be running short for some.

Three perennial contenders who may be in danger are Brazil, France and Egypt in the Open.

One team on a roll is Germany in the Women’s series. The German women scored all available victory points yesterday, easily dispatching Chinese Taipei, Mexico and Jamaica to lead all squads with 262 out of 300 victory points over 12 rounds.

Today will be a light day for players, with only two matches, followed by a day off on Thursday.
