The Gods Will Decide

As we approach the climax of the Fifth Generali World Masters, the destination of each title hangs in the balance. In the Men's event, Piotr Gawrys is still on top, but Baldursson, Sementa, Lindkvist and Gromov have also passed the 1000 match point milestone, and the pack are not that far behind these five.

The race for the Women's title is also likely to be a close run thing. Benedicte Cronier is leading, but only eight ahead of Jill Meyers.

The Junior event is the one that is giving the home crowd the most to cheer about, because the leader is Miltos Karamanlis.

Will you please welcome!

here are many distinguished guests attending these Championships. They include the President of the European Bridge League, Gianarrigo Rona, the Honorary President, Bill Pencharz, and Ernesto d'Orsi, former President of the World Bridge Federation.
